Sara’s Ukraine Journal: Day 7

In the morning, the pastor came back and picked us up. He had his three little girls with him. He dropped Mary off at the bus station so she could catch a ride to work and then we went to the church. There the cooks had breakfast prepared for us.

We held meetings all day. I had the children with Jarrod and Nadya from 3-5. There were not very many, but we still had fun. The kids liked Jarrod’s juggling.

I started to develop a sore throat and a headache. I prayed that God would be with me and take care of it since I was doing His work. It didn’t get bad enough to interfere with what I was doing. Praise the Lord!

It never ceased to amaze me how God always gave us the strength to do what He needed us to do. If I felt sick, it was only when I wasn’t actively presenting the message.

Edwin's haircutAt this church, Edwin got a haircut. A lady had all of her haircutting stuff with her and Edwin volunteered to be worked on.

Frances Garner ran the booth along with Eileen. Frances had a lot of fun “talking” to the older Ukrainian women who were sitting down there with her.

At the ABC, Uzzie bought himself a Colporteur Ministry in Russian. He also bought some tracts, which they were always giving to us.

When we left, all the people were surrounding the bus and telling Justin T to stay with them. We teased him about his celebrity position, since he is the great-great-great-grandson of Ellen White. The people loved him for it and were always flocking around him.

We got back “home” at 11:30pm and ate supper. It never ceased to amaze me how Mrs. M could fix such good food and stay up so late.

We got to check our email and grades. There was obviously some rejoicing and weeping when the grades were found out. We didn’t leave for the church until 12:30am or so. We went there and crashed into bed.
