We went back to Dnepropestrovsk. This time we went to a rented hall for church. The choirs they have sang beautifully. I began to wonder if the choirs in heaven sounded like Ukrainian choirs. So often in America we focus on what music we think is right or wrong, but when I was listening to the choirs, I thought, “I think this is what God intended music to sound like. We shouldn’t focus on the style, but on playing and singing the best we can for God. This is what life is all about. When you put what you have in the hands of God, marvelous things will happen.”
Uzzie found his friend from the night before and they communicated via a Russian phrase book a friend had given me before we left the US. It was interesting to watch Uzzie and his friend. The boy asked if Uzzie and I were boyfriend/girlfriend, and Uzzie quickly set him straight by pulling out a picture of Juliana.

After the church service was over, we drove to the conference office/church and ate lunch. Then at 3pm, we started the afternoon meetings. I ran the booth with Frances Garner. It was hard telling the people to take the bookmarks since they thought we were selling them. They also pointed out a spelling error plus a translation error on the bookmarks.
The young people liked to talk to the “Americans.” They got our signatures and email addresses. They took pictures of us. After we finished the meetings, we ate supper before heading back to Pastor M’s house. When we got there, we went straight to the church where we were staying and collapsed.
